The new yachting season starts with the big-league event in the yacht and water sports industry – the 50th international boat show, BOOT Dusseldorf. The Boot will last 9 days, from 19 to 27 January 2019 and will cover over 2,368,060 square feet in the exposition center Messe Dusseldorf.
This year without a doubt will gain the record number of participating companies (over 2.000), super yachts and about 250.000 guests. Sixteen exhibition halls offer 18 themed areas dedicated to all kinds of watersport activities: the Sailing Center, Motorboats, Superyachts, Travel, the Dive Center, Beach World, the World of Paddling, the Refit Center, and the Sportfishing Center.
The interactive concept of the show «Experience 360° Water Sports» includes the chance to try one's balance surfing on the "Wave" (9 metres wide), spend time in relaxing zones of the Beach World and test the innovative diving equipment in the Dive Centre.

Halle 6: Motor yachts

Traditionally, super yachts and motor boats as well as tenders from the high-end range will be presented at the hall 6. The leading world shipyards introduce their most demanded yachts competing in the spheres of design and technological excellence.
Azimut Yachts will deliver for the show the list of 6 models from 4 collections.
Sports collection:
- Azimut S6, the novelty yacht of the Cannes yachting festival 2018 and the winner of "Best layout Trophy"
- Azimut 77S, that is easy to recognize due to the bevel-edged hull lines diamond windows, Carbon-tech от Azimut.
Flybridge collection:
- Azimut Flybridge 60, "Best Layout Trophy 2017" in its size and category
- Azimut Flybridge 66, "Most Technological" among the yachts 50-80 feet in 2016 and the best selling yacht in the flybridge collection.
Atlantis collection:
- Atlantis 51, the largest among the cruisers Azimut Atlantis, created as a result of assembling and integrating the clients expectations and wishes for the family type sports cruiser: vast dinner areas, 3 comfortable cabins for the family or a company of friends and laconic contemporary design lines.
Magellano Collection:
- Magellano 43, the most demanded yacht for longer sea journeys, a cooperative creation of the famous naval archtect Ken Freivokh and Azimut Yachts marine engineers.

Since 1972 the Boot Dusseldorf takes place every January, thus serving as a mile stone before the beginning of a new season.
The restriction in the size of the yachts is caused naturally by the in-house character of the boat show and the necessity to deliver the yachts by the waters of the river Rain or by means of road transport. These conditions have formed the "practical" reputation of the show, on the contrast with onshore yachting festivals. The shipyards tend to select their most demanded models for the potential customers, as the visitors of the Dusseldorf boat show come here with practical goals of choosing, negotiationg and buying a yacht.
